JD-Wes Is Where the Heart Is

Location: LA
Mile: Unknown
Status: Unclear

I sit here and think to myself: W.W.M.T.W. (what would MT write), and only a confluence of metaphors and half-thought out existential aphorisms come to mind.

I've left Wes (in what can only be described as an orderly panic) and survived the holidays in one piece.  Now with the new year here I'm about to peace out to Europe for about 5 months and it's definitely a crazy crazy feeling.  I leave in about 67 hours and I have no idea what to pack or how to go about it.  So basically, I'm living my life in its typical way.  The last couple of days I've felt excited, then scared, the sad, then amped again about leaving.  So basically I'm all over the place (as per usual).  All I know is that it's going to be a crazy adventure with a lot of traveling and brand new experiences that can be nothing short of awesome (brawh).

Expect a post in the middle of night on monday while I freak out about packing, but for now let me leave you with a gem of a phone call from the night of Dec. 31st:

me: "yo man, what's up?"
him: "why aren't you here dude! This is awesome."
me: "what? what do you mean? where are you?"
him: "I'm at the head of the fucking Potomac dude.  You gotta be here next summer, no matter what kid"
me: "Why are you at the head of the Potomac"
him: "CUZ IM FUCKING BALLER THAT'S WHY!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR MY MAN"
me: "samesies man, samesies"

Caitlin-See Ya Later Wes!

Well here it goes. First out of the apartment. First going abroad. Not even done with all my papers... I would write something deep but I havent gotten to that introspective Matt Tannenbaum-esque place yet. I also just found the storage access card in my bag, and JD still has to store stuff. Oops....

Southwest Airlines is my favorite. Nice chairs, plugs for your computer, only $25 bucks to check your third bag. Its the real deal.

So now is the time to say bye bye! to CT and say hello! to Nashville, Tn, then Oakland, CA and then finalllly San Francisco, CA for a few weeks before the good stuff starts....

I cant believe that I have a blog...

XOXO

Welcome!

JD and Caitlin are going abroad. They have created this beautiful blog so no one forgets who they are. They are especially concerned that one Matthew Tannenbaum will be so saddened by their absence that he will switch his major to epic poetry and get lost in his own thoughts.

Through sharing our feelings and emotions we hope to prevent things like that from occuring.

Enjoy.
